PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Simplified Fitting Project was implemented by GN ReSound to improve their fitting software user experience. The company’s goal is to improve the health care professional user workflow so that they can give their patient the best fitting experience possible. When I started working at GN I was assigned the task to conduct competitive research and analysis for their fitting software. Conducting this research helped me to learn about the software, gather information about the competition, and innovate.
Objective
Our objective for this project was to improve the usability of our product or service by focusing on industry standards features, what works/doesn’t and gaps (innovate) our competitors might be missing.

My Role and Responsibilities
Meet bi-weekly with the Project Manager and the Copenhagen UX team to go over what changes were needed and give progress report.
Conduct competitive market research to analyze the competition and presented findings to the stakeholders.
Provided wireframes, mockups, and assets for the GN ReSound product team.
Research
We completed two competitive analysis for this project — the first competitive analysis was on seven direct and indirect competitors. After completing the first competitive analysis, we were able to identify industry-standard features that we had in common and what we didn’t. The second competitive analysis, we did a deeper dive into our top four direct competitors, creating an inventory of three top features and functionality across our products and competitors. Based on our research, our team decided to increase the functionality of the landing page for fitting software and add it to our presentation.

Sketches
During our research meeting our team decided to brainstorm and sketch out possible ideas for revamping the fitting software landing page. After our meeting I decided to add our ideas by drawing them on paper and wireframing them on Sketch.

Original Landing page
Revamped landing page
My goal when I designed the fitting software landing page was to improve ReSound business, the user's workflow, and their patients fitting experience. Based on our research, we learned that the landing page was an essential part of the user’s workflow. Understanding this, I wanted to design a landing page that gave the users incredible value innovation; for example, the Resound Hearing Situations and Device Match features. Using these features can help the user improve their time and task and improve their patients hearing aid fitting experience.
