BIO

Raised in New York but based in Chicago, I graduated from New York City College of Technology (City Tech) with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Graphic Arts Production Management.

Creativity has always been a part of my life, so design isn't just a profession for me; it's a way for me to help others and do what I love.

In Autumn 2015, I decided to study Human-Computer Interaction at the College of Computing and Digital Media (DePaul University). During my time at DePaul University, I gained work experience working on the LEAP Innovations Match Day website; this project gave me a broader perspective on working with a client in the design industry.

Working on the Match Day Project allowed me to listen to the client and get a better understanding of their business goal and who their target audience was. We then completed user interviews for the project and analyzed the data to identify the user’s pain points. Our findings helped us to understand the user pain points better. We empathize with the users, which enabled us to select the best methods to use to solve their pain points. Next, we started to sketch out solutions, designing wireframes, and prototype for testing to validate our hypothesis. After the project completion, I learned that understanding the client’s goal and user needs was a critical part of our design thinking process for project success.

In the Spring of 2019, I had the opportunity of interning as a UX Researcher at the Glenview, IL-based hearing aid manufacturer, GN ReSound. Through this job, I was able to work on numerous projects; for example, Revamping their Pediatric website and Fitting software landing page. During my time at GN ReSound, I was able to learn about Audiology, UX design, and how to incorporate the mental model technique.

Currently, I work for the Chicago Public School as a Special Education Teacher. Before this, I worked for the New York City Board of Education, where I learned to value the importance of education, empathy for others, and the continuous learning process. I look forward to working with a company where we can learn together and work together to drive change.

Testimonial

Christopher’s creativity and enthusiasm for a project is contagious. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Christopher on a long-term project - during which his attention to detail never faltered. Throughout the project, he was supportive, collaborative, and self-driven. I look forward to his future endeavors and seeing more of his creative insight.
